Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Students applying for graduate study in the department must also meet the following general requirements:
- demonstrated competence in programming;
- completion of the equivalent of the department\'s undergraduate core computer science curriculum
- demonstration, by an appropriate score on the general test of the Graduate Record Examination, of competence in the discipline of computer science.
Each student must submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination general test. This requirement may be waived for a student who graduated with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale from an institution accredited by the CAC Accreditation Commission of ABET. It is strongly recommended that each student submit a score from the GRE Subject Exam in Computer Science, particularly students who wish to be considered for funding opportunities.
