Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- A minimum of a second class Honours degree or equivalent in any subject except\xc2\xa0Computing/IT related subjects. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work experience are encouraged to apply. \xc2\xa0Applicants with a second class Honours degree or equivalent in a Computing/IT related subject\xc2\xa0should apply for the MSc in Software Engineering instead.
If English is not your first language you must have one of the following qualifications as evidence of your English language skills:
- IELTS: 6.0 with 5.5 minimum in each skill
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Grade C
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): Grade C
- Pearson Test of English (Academic): 54 with 51 in each component
- IBT TOEFL: 80 with no subtest less than 17
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
