Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Taught courses (MSc, MA, PG Dip, PG Cert, MRes)
Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees combined with relevant professional experience and/or vocational qualifications. Actual requirements will vary by course.
Research degrees (PhD, Phil, MA/MSc by research)
Typically you would need an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent). We recommend that you visit departmental research pages and contact potential supervisors to discuss the research areas you\'re interested in. This will help to ensure a proper match between you and your prospective supervisor.

Apply early
In most cases applications can be submitted throughout the year, however we recommend that you apply as early as possible due to competition for places.
If you\'re applying for funding you normally need hold an offer, so make sure to check the funding application deadlines. They usually fall between January and March.
