Program Curriculum

Course Structure

  1. [\'Semesters one, two and three consist of taught modules.\', \'Semester one and two are based at the University of Aarhus/Danish School of Journalism.\', "Semester three is based at the University of Amsterdam, Swansea University, City University London, or University of Hamburg, depending on the student\'s specialization.", \'Semester four is also based at the university where the student specializes, and concerns the writing of the Master thesis under the supervision of a senior staff member. The thesis must be submitted before the end of the fourth semester.\', \'one from the University of Aarhus;\', \'one from the university where he or she has graduated: University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Hamburg (Germany), University of Swansea (UK), City University London (UK).\']

Academic Requirements

Certified competences: A. Academic level and background\nB. Journalism Experience\nC. Motivation\nD. Life Experience\nE. English language level

Language test: As all courses are taught in English, a a high degree of language proficiency is required.

Previous education: Applicants will only be admitted if they have a Bachelors degree, or equivalent, with above-average results.

\n

Professional experience: Applicants will normally only be admitted if they have a Bachelor or equivalent degree with above-average grades, as well as the equivalent of at least three months\' full-time work as a professional journalist.

\n

Written request: Applicants are asked to submit a personal statement \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x93 strong, clear statement that demonstrates the applicant\'s motivation, commitment and relevant skills.

Additional language requirements:

  • IELTS overall band: 7
