Program Curriculum
Course Structure
- Acquire knowledge of core concepts, theories, and applications in three of the following five areas: learning and cognition, biological bases of behavior, social behavior, theories of personality, and psychopathology.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following specializations in psychology: Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology.
- Show mastery of all phases of the research process in psychology, including: locating, synthesizing and critically evaluating information related to a specific research question, generating testable research hypotheses and related research designs, engaging in data collection activities that reflect professional practices, standards and requirements; students also analyze data and displaying results using appropriate statistical procedures and software.
- Identify and apply ethical standards in the conduct of human subject and animal research.
- Articulate values and act in ways that are respectful of cultural differences and diversity at local, national and global levels.

You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- All applicants must possess a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an accredited institution, with a GPA of 3.0 or better to qualify for admission. Students are not required to have an undergraduate major in Psychology, but they must have completed courses in Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods with grades of B or better. Applicants without this coursework may be admitted to the program conditionally and required to take courses before matriculating.
- Applicants are also required to write a personal statement of their goals and interests, upload a resume or CV, and provide two letters of recommendation. Applicants must submit official transcripts for all prior undergraduate and graduate work. Previous research experience may be considered in reviewing applications, though it is not necessary in order to apply. Applicants who meet the basic eligibility criteria may be asked to take part in an individual interview before final acceptance is determined.
