Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

- Unofficial transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.\xc2\xa0Official or unofficial transcripts should be uploaded through the online application form. Transcripts must reflect the name of the institution attended, degree earned, grades earned, and GPA. Applicants should ensure that all transcripts are readable once uploaded.\xc2\xa0Submission of official transcripts is ONLY required for all admitted students who decide to enroll.\xc2\xa0For non-U.S. transcripts, applicants please submit translated transcripts.

- Please articulate why you have chosen the University of San Francisco\'s MPH program, and elaborate on your specific interests as they relate to the program\'s strengths and your career goals.
- Two letters of recommendation.\xc2\xa0Applicants are required to submit letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to their competence and ability to be successful at a graduate level of study. In the online form, enter the names and e-mail addresses for recommenders. They will receive an e-mail from USF with instructions to upload their letter.

- We are interested in the progression and mix of responsibilities in your work and volunteer experience and your skills. Experience should be for college and beyond (no high school).
- No course prerequisites to the program.\xc2\xa0However, competency in precalculus math and the basic biological and social (psychology, anthropology, sociology, economics) sciences is helpful.
- Fluency in a second language is helpful as well, but not required.
