Program Curriculum
The MPP curriculum consists of two components - a core set of courses (27 credits total) that provide a foundation in governance, quantitative skills and the practice of public policy and elective courses that allow a deeper dive into a particular area of interest. Students must complete 48 credits to earn the MPP degree.

Admission to the CONS Program is competitive, and applicants tend to be a self-selecting group of high achievers. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and comply with all\xc2\xa0Graduate School guidelines\xc2\xa0to be considered for admission, with the most competitive applicants demonstrating preparedness for graduate coursework in ecology, resource economics, and public policy. \xc2\xa0
There is not, however, a specific undergraduate major or set of courses required for admission. Applications are reviewed holistically, based on evidence of leadership potential, maturity, motivation, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work successfully across multiple disciplines.\xc2\xa0
