Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- A bachelor\'s degree* from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution. (Note: A combined BS/MS degree option* is available to FSU undergraduates.)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4-point scale), on all upper division undergraduate coursework.
- Though there is no minimum GRE score requirement, per Florida State University requirements, candidates must provide test scores from a nationally standardized graduate admission test which is acceptable for the program. If the GRE score is below 1000, the candidate must show evidence of strong undergraduate work and possession a strong undergraduate grade point average or other demonstrated evidence of academic success.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
