Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3 or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
To be considered for admission to the MSW program on a full-time or part-time basis in the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work, applicants are required to:
- Hold a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or its equivalent from a recognized foreign institution of higher learning.
- Have a scholarship record in undergraduate and post-baccalaureate work, if any, that indicates potential for professional social work graduate study.\xc2\xa0
- Have a background in the liberal arts.
- Provide evidence of personal qualifications, social work, and/or related experiences, motivation, and interest that indicate potential for successful graduate social work education and professional practice.
English Proficiency: IELTS 5 or equivalent.
