Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
General entry advice
- Bachelors degree with 2:1 honours degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant subject/disciplinary area.
Application procedure
- Applications must be made online using King\'s online application portal and a non-refundable application fee of \xc2\xa350 applies. Your application will be assessed by at least two academics. You will be asked to supply a sample of written work, we may ask to interview you (either in person or by phone if overseas), and you are welcome to call the department to arrange a visit. We aim to process all applications within four to six weeks although this may take longer in February and March, and over holiday periods.
Personal statement and supporting information
- Please state potential dissertation and/or area of interest, if known, as part of your personal statement.
- You will also need to submit a sample of your written work in the form of an academic essay, consisting of 2,000 to 4,000 words, in Spanish, Portuguese or English \xc2\x96 please attach this to the personal statement page.
