Scholarship Application

UCLA offers a variety of scholarships to support both prospective and current students in funding their education. Here's how you can apply:

For Prospective Students:

  1. UC Application: When applying for admission, complete the UC Application between August 1 and November 30 of the year prior to your desired admission. This application includes a section for scholarships, allowing you to be considered for university-wide awards.

  2. UCLA Prospective Student Scholarship Application: After submitting your UC Application, fill out the UCLA Prospective Student Scholarship Application by March 2. This application provides access to merit and need-based scholarships specific to UCLA.

  3. FAFSA or California Dream Act Application: Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by March 2 to be considered for need-based scholarships. UCLA's school code is 001315.

  1. UCLA Scholarship Portal: Log in to the UCLA Scholarship Portal using your university credentials to access and apply for various merit and need-based awards, including scholarships, fellowships, stipends, grants, and prizes. It's recommended to complete the general application early, as new opportunities arise throughout the year.

  • Center for Scholarships & Scholar Enrichment (CSSE): Formerly known as the Scholarship Resource Center, CSSE assists students in identifying and applying for scholarships. They offer workshops, individual counseling, and other resources. Visit the CSSE website for more information.

  • Academic Advancement Program (AAP) Scholarships: AAP offers scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 for eligible students. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative UCLA GPA of 2.75 by the end of the Fall Quarter. Details are available on the AAP Scholarship page.

Important Deadlines:

  • March 2: Priority deadline for FAFSA or California Dream Act Application and the UCLA Prospective Student Scholarship Application.

  • November 30: Deadline for the UC Application for admission.
