Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Upper Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Academic background
  • A professional accounting qualification equivalent to level 11 on the SCQF framework (or equivalent framework) and holding current membership of an internationally recognised professional accounting organisation which is associated with IFAC (International Federation of Accountants).
  • Applicants holding a professional accounting qualification, but not holding current membership of an internationally recognised professional accounting organisation, may be considered if they can demonstrate up to date continuous professional development (CPD) requirements of a recognised professional accounting organisation.
  • Applicants who do not hold a professional accounting qualification may be considered if they hold a relevant professional qualification equivalent to level 11 on the SCQF framework (or equivalent framework).
For applicants entering year one of the programme
  • You will need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in any subject below, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
OR
  • An appropriate and acceptable professional qualification equivalent to level 10 or above on the SCQF framework (or equivalent framework).

English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
