Course Structure
- Professional Accountancy: Students choose this specialization if they wish to pursue auditing in public accounting.
- Taxation: In this specialization, students prepare for careers in public accounting but with a specialty in tax compliance.
- Personal Financial Planning: Students in this specialization focus on financial advising, investments, and estate and retirement planning. They are qualified to take the exam to become personal financial planners.

Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Applicants generally have undergraduate degrees in accounting or other business areas. The department will consider exceptions, but the student must fulfill the core requirements or equivalent of USU\xc2\x92s undergraduate accounting program.

- Score at or above the 50th percentile on all sections of the GMAT
- Have a 3.0 or higher GPA on your last 60 semester or 90 quarter credits
- Provide transcripts of all college/university credits
- Provide three contacts for letters of recommendation
