Academic Requirements

  • Official Transcript - Duquesne students: All transcript requests must be made through our transcript request page.
  • Resume - After you submit the Online Application, you will receive an email directing you to our Supplemental Document Portal for uploading resumes and other documents.
  • Recommendation - Two professional recommendations must be provided as part of the application process. Recommendations must be from former professors or supervisors who can evaluate your potential for graduate study. After your Online Application has been received, you will be directed to a Supplemental Document Portal where you can enter the contact information for both recommenders. The recommendation form will be sent electronically to each of them from this site.
  • Foreign Language Exam Information - International students must also submit the following information: official TOEFL or IELTS scores, Duquesne University Affidavit of Support form completed in full and submitted together with required officially certified statements of financial resources available to support your education (see estimates of costs for an academic year available from the Office of International Affairs), and official transcripts in English. Uncertified photocopies cannot be accepted.
  • Essay - Please include on a separate sheet an essay that addresses the following:MBA and MS-ISM Applicants (limit your responses to 250 words for each question):
  • A summary of your academic and professional background, your present situation, your motivation for pursuing a graduate business education and your future goals.
  • What strengths you bring to the program.

  • In general, international students must have a four-year bachelor\'s degree. Certain three-year degrees may be acceptable. Please contact the graduate office for verification.International students may also wish to contact the Office of International Affairs at Duquesne University for such items as I-20 forms, etc.
