Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Applicants should normally have at least an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in the cognate subjects of Biological or Behavioural Science, Sports Science or a Health related profession. Your first degree must also have had a research training component and you should have completed an undergraduate research study.
Applicants should include the following in their applications:
- A high level of interest and research into the profession, including an awareness of the breadth of the profession and the core specialities
- Appropriate work experience/shadowing
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Applicants who do not have English as their first language are required to have IELTS 7.0 with no skill below 6.5 or an equivalent award.
Satisfactory health and enhanced criminal history checks will be required by all applicants prior to acceptance on the course, these will be inline with professional body membership and HCPC registration requirements.
