[\'Introduction to Person-Centred Care: a practice-related triple module designed to introduce some of the core knowledge, skills and attitudes required for professional nursing practice and person-centred care. This will prepare you for your first experience in practice.\', \'Developing Person-Centred Care: a double practice-related compulsory module, which enables you to explore the concept of holistic assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of care. This includes recognition of physiological, sociological, psychological and cultural contexts and the relevance of the individuals\’ spirituality and sexuality.\', \'Development of the Human Body and Mind: a practice-related module introducing you to some of the basic principles of human life sciences using a life span development approach.\', \'Life Sciences for Healthcare Professionals: a practice-related module exploring a systems-based approach to anatomy and physiology, needed by nurses, midwives and operating department practitioners in practice.\', \'Applied Life Sciences for Adult Nurses: a practice-related module designed to build on pre-existing scientific knowledge. It will look at the inter-relationships between systems within the body focusing on normal physiology and the exploring patho-physiological changes that interfere with this.\', \'Professional Practice Experience 1 (Adult Nursing): a zero-rated, non-credit practice module, which must be passed to fulfil the professional requirements for Year 1 of the programme.\', \'Applied Research Methods: a practice-related module aims to advance your knowledge of research methodology and research methods, and their application to research-related activity in professional practice.\', "Experience of Health and Illness 1: a practice-related module, one of a series of three designed to address some of the core knowledge, skills and attitudes required of the adult nurse working with people in a range of health care settings. It examines the application of basic principles of operations management to modernised health/social care organisations, and you will apply management models in the workplace. It explores strategic and operational approaches and concepts, providing you with a management toolbox.\', \'Leadership in Health and Social Care: this practice-related single module is of free-standing value and forms part of the Management in Health and Social Care MSc/PGDip/PGCert course. The module offers you the opportunity to develop and apply the knowledge and conceptual and practice skills needed to be an effective leader within health and social care environments, both in the public and private sector.\', \'Dissertation: the aim of this practice-related module is to draw together and enhance your ability to use the knowledge, understanding and skills developed previously across the whole programme (especially P40306: Applied Research Methods) in a piece of investigative or literature-based research.\', \'Medicines Management for Adult Nursing: a single practice-related module that will enhance and consolidate your knowledge of medicine management and its application to adult nursing practice.\', \'Nursing Management: Adult Nursing Consolidation: the focus of this practice-related module is on consolidation and integration of knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme of study. There is particular reference to the evaluation of your personal contribution to care and the development of leadership and management skills in the clinical care context.\', \'Independent Study Practice Orientated: this will give you the opportunity to build on your existing knowledge and professional experience, and to study, in-depth, an aspect of health care pertinent to children, young people and families\’ health care practice.
