- Module 1: The history and development of the subject (residential 4-6 September 2015 and online)
- Module 2: The development of new subject knowledge (residential 6-8 November 2015 and online)
- Module 3: From academic to classroom-based research (residential 19-21 February 2016 and online)
- Module 4: Being a teacher-researcher (residential 10-12 June 2016 and online)
- Dissertation: 15,000-18,000 words (including footnotes and appendices but excluding bibliography)
- Essay 1: 3,000 words
- Essay 2: 3,000 words
- Essay 3: 6,000 words
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Applicants for this course will normally have achieved a UK 2.i honours degree or overseas equivalent.
There is provision to accept non-standard applicants who do not satisfy the standard academic criterion. Such applicants must produce evidence of relevant and equivalent experience and their suitability for the course.
Applications will be accepted online from\xc2\xa014 September 2016 until 24 April 2017.
