Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission to the graduate program in aging studies requires an application to the Graduate School as well as an additional application to the Aging Studies program.
Application for Admission
Official records (transcripts or mark sheets) beginning with post-secondary school. Transcripts must bear the seal and signature of the appropriate school official, and be accompanied by an official English translation if necessary. A minimum grade point average of a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale is required. All transcripts become property of this University.
Official Entrance Examination Score (GRE, MAT, GMAT)2 These must be mailed directly from the testing center to OISS. The school code for Eastern Illinois University is 1199. Not all programs require an entrance examination.
English Language Proficiency Requirement: Official TOEFL, IELTS, STEP EIKEN; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), or iTEP Academic Plus Examination mailed directly from the respective testing service.
