Course Structure

  1. Advances in Irrigation Engineering (with only one module component: Irrigation planning, design and construction),
  2. Soil and Water Conservation (with three module components: Estimation of sediment yield and its predictions; Soil conservation techniques; Design of water harvesting systems),
  3. Design of Water Conservation Structures(with three modules: Design, construction and management of farm ponds; Design of different types of spillways; Operation and maintenance of small dams)

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The student to be admitted to MSc in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Soil & water Engineering should have completed BSc in Soil & Water Management, Irrigation & Drainage, Water Resources Management, Agricultural Mechanization, Soil Science and Soil & Environmental Management, Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university.

In case of BSc degree from fields other than those listed above, submission of additional documentation along with the application is needed so that the University can assess eligibility.
