Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Lower Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Entry is confined to holders of an honours degree (2.2 grade or higher).
  • Prospective candidates should complete an application form for this course either on-line or by post from the Office of Graduate Studies at DIT. Qualified applicants may be invited for interview. Selection is based on the candidates understanding of and motivation for a career in public relations. Those completing their primary degree this year may be offered a place subject to attaining a 2:2 honours degree.
  • Possession of a laptop personal computer will be a pre-requisite of the programme.
