The applicants will be required to read two articles relating to one of the topics listed \xc2\x96 Fieldwork, Anthropology of Religion, Political Anthropology, Sensorial Anthropology and Visual Anthropology.

The essays are supposed to address the general issues discussed in the article. The Admissions Committee will be looking out for the applicant\'s ability to summarise the general issues covered and to present their own informed opinion on these issues. It would be seen as an asset if the applicant also uses other references in their essay.

Of course, we trust all students applying to the programme. But it gives the process more legitimacy if the applicants write the test on site, by hand.

Applicants will be allowed to bring the articles to the test site. Although it is advisable that the applicants have read their choice of articles thoroughly and come to the test prepared to provide a summary of the papers and their stance on the different issues that come up. The use of articles on site, should be considered as a reference \xc2\x96 not as a means to read or review them.
