Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Admission Requirements:
  • A four-year bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Applicants may be eligible for admission in \xc2\x93Qualified\xc2\x94 status with nine credits of requisite undergraduate work provided that they meet all other stated admission criteria. In such cases, the student must satisfy all conditions in her/his admission letter in order to advance to \xc2\x93Approved\xc2\x94 status. Failure to address the conditions of admission as stated in the admission letter will be viewed as unsatisfactory progress and could result in dismissal from the School of Graduate Studies.
  • An overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or greater for all undergraduate work or a GPA of at least 3.0 for the junior and senior years of undergraduate work (based on A=4.0).
  • Official scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). At the discretion of the MSAE Program Director, test scores may be waived for students holding a graduate degree.
  • Satisfy the School of Graduate Studies\xc2\x92 English Language Proficiency requirements as published in the graduate catalog.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
