Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Applicants should normally possess a good honours degree in English or a language-related field. They should display a strong interest in applied linguistics and possess a good command of English.
- Applicants from outside Hong Kong who are nonnative speakers of English must also produce TOEFL or IELTS scores obtained within 2 years.
- A year of relevant professional experience is helpful.
- Applicants must submit a 500-word statement about their interests and goals related to postgraduate study in applied linguistics.
- Applicants will be shortlisted to an interview. The interview aims to assess the applicants\' linguistic and intellectual abilities as well as their understanding of basic concepts in applied linguistics.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
