  1. Plan I (Thesis). This plan requires 45 units of adviser-approved, graduate and upper\ndivision courses and a thesis. Each of the core courses must be passed with a grade of at least B.
  2. Plan II (Comprehensive Examination). This plan requires 36 units of adviserapproved,\ngraduate courses. Each of the core courses \xa0must be passed with a grade of at least B. A comprehensive final examination\nbased on Methods of Applied Mathematics is required of each candidate. No thesis is required.

  • Official GRE General and GRE Subject Scores\xc2\xa0: The Mathematics program requires both the GRE General exam and the GRE Subject Exam in Mathematics. The Applied Mathematics program requires the GRE General plus one GRE Subject Exam on any subject (i.e., not restricted to the Mathematics exam).
  • TOEFL or IELTS Scores: International students are required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. Photocopies or unofficial scores will not be accepted.
  • Transcripts:\xc2\xa0UC Davis requires academic records from each college-level institution you have attended.
