Academic Requirements

For those continuing on after the BAS program at Laurentian:

1. Official transcripts

2. A current curriculum-vitae

3. An overall average of at least 70% (min. GPA 6.0)

4. A 1-2 page letter expressing what research areas they wish to focus upon for graduate work (including any particular professors with expertise)

5. Submission of a Design Portfolio (divided into sections on Culture, Technology, Design, and Professional Practice). This package will be reviewed by the School of Architecture Admissions Committee.

 

For those applying to the MArch program from outside of the BAS program, forward the following accompanying documentation to the Office of Admissions:

1. Official transcripts, indicating their previous pre-professional architecture degree

2. A current curriculum-vitae

3. A letter expressing what area(s) of design they wish to focus upon at the McEwen School of Architecture for graduate work,

4. Submission of a Design Portfolio for review by the School of Architecture Admissions Committee

5. Any other required documentation (diplomas, TOEFL, publications, etc.)

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
