Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale.   • A 3.0 GPA or higher in a Bachelor\'s degree in any field is highly recommended. Students require a general knowledge of the intellectual, social and cultural history of East Asia.
Two years of a university-level Asian language is required for the degree. These two years of language study may be satisfied before enrollment in the graduate program, or during enrollment in the master\'s program.
