You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
The Department of Asian and Slavic Languages and Literatures requires a g.p.a. of at least 3.00 for regular admission and a g.p.a. of at least 2.75 for conditional admission.
A B.A. in Chinese language and literature, teaching Chinese as a second language, or the equivalent is required for study in the M.A. in teaching Chinese as a second language track. Chinese language proficiency equivalent to third-year Chinese, as determined by examination, is required for the M.A. in Chinese studies track.
Applicants must submit a statement of purpose, a research paper written in English, three letters of recommendation, and scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test.
