Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
- Preferred overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a four- point scale
- Completion of the following undergraduate prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or better and preferred overall pre-requisite GPA of 3.0

- Human Anatomy & Physiology and Physics must include a laboratory.
- Fifty (50) hours of clinical observation with a certified athletic trainer
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Current certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- One letter of recommendation from a certified athletic trainer
- Two additional letters of recommendation from personal or professional sources
- Completion of applicant essay question
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required
- Student must read, sign, understand and meet the Standards of Essential Functions of the School of Health and Medical Sciences and the MSAT program.
- If English is not the native language, a student must submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Score Report documenting a paper-based score of 550 or above, a computer-based score of 213 or above, or an internet-based score of 79 or above.
- Students with incomplete prerequisites may apply; however, they must state how they will satisfy the prerequisites prior to the start of the program. All undergraduate prerequisite courses must be completed no longer than ten years prior to the application date.
