Formal Entrance Requirements

A candidate should have a recognised first degree (Bachelor of Science or Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, such as Automotive, Aerospace or Energy Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial or Production Engineering, awarded by an internationally recognised university-level institution.

Candidates should have also performed above average in their undergraduate studies and should be able to speak and write fluently in English (TOEFL 213 computer-based ). The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is also required.

Special Entrance Requirements

This programme is appropriate for both engineers coming from industry as well as those coming directly from university. Candidates should be able to apply their knowledge of mathematics and science and engineering to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. In addition, candidates should be able to design a particular system, component, or process to meet desired needs, as well as to prepare and perform experiments in a laboratory environment.

English Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
