The Bachelor in Animation is an academic degree in 3D computer animation opening opportunities to work in the animation, VFX and video game industries in Luxembourg and abroad.

Career opportunities The programme prepares for entry level positions as a Concept Artist, Layout Artist, Animator, Background Artist, Storyboard Artist, 2D Generalist, 3D Modeler, Texture Artist, 3D Animator or for a career as an Independent Filmmaker.Students can continue their education with a Master’s in Computer Animation, Media Studies, Gaming, Cinema or related fields. Objectives Academic degree with a practical orientation The main objective of the study programme is to prepare the students to enter the animation industry in Luxembourg. To do so, a close connection with the studios is established and students acquire academic, technical and practical knowledge at the same time. Learning outcomes The programme is designed for students who want to master professional 3D animation techniques in an academic environment. During the studies the students will learn :3D Computer Animation: character animation modeling texturing digital sculpting lighting and rendering layout rigging compositing Students will also acquire artistic and academic skills: drawing sculpting editing film studies Learned software: Maya, zBrush, Substance, Unity, Blender, Premiere Pro, After Effects. The curriculum allows students to progressively specialise in either character animation, modeling, digital sculpting, texturing (for environments and/or characters), according to their goals. Programme The programme is addressed to students who already have acquired competences in animation, therefore courses start directly at semester 3 for a total of 4 semesters. Classes are taught in English and French. Admission Requirements

Oral and written skills in English (B2) or French (B2).
