Program Overview

The BA (Honours) in Primary Education is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become an effective and inspiring primary school educator. Through a combination of theoretical learning, hands-on experience, and reflective practice, you will develop an understanding of child development, curriculum design, teaching methodologies and classroom management. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and engage in reflective practice and self-assessment to continuously improve your teaching abilities. The BA (Honours) in Primary Education is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become an effective and inspiring primary school educator. Through a combination of theoretical learning, hands-on experience, and reflective practice, you will develop an understanding of child development, curriculum design, teaching methodologies and classroom management. The communication and academic skills programme complements students’ main course of study. It introduces them to writing and presenting as situated within academic contexts sensitive to specific disciplines and develops their competences for future careers.
