Program Overview

The Bachelor degree in Built Environment Studies will provide you with the entry level to a number of professional or second-tier Masters' degree courses, offered by the Faculty for the Built Environment. The course covers a range of study-units of relevance to the professional disciplines that you may wish to follow in subsequent years, while also allowing you a high degree of choice, so that your studies can be better tailored to your specific aptitudes and career ambitions. The programme is intended to be multi-disciplinary and to give better opportunities for trans-European student exchanges. The course introduces a wide range of disciplines, relevant for the study of architecture, structural or civil engineering, spatial planning, management, environmental performance, and particularly materials and construction technology subjects. We encourage you to participate in an Erasmus+ mobility programme, as we believe that an international and multicultural academic journey will provide a better learning experience. Career Opportunities

As a graduate in Built Environmental Studies you will be employable, both locally and abroad, as an architectural technologist, building surveyor, construction manager and real estate professional. If you are interested in furthering your studies and specialise to become an architect, or are considering an academic profession, then we encourage you to enrol in one of our postgraduate courses.
