- Exegesis of the Old TestamentThe relationship between Hebrew language, cultural cognition and historical context of the ancient Near East will be studied in regard to biblical texts.
- Exegesis of the New TestamentCentral texts of the New Testament will be analysed focusing on the linguistic, literary, historical and theological dimensions of these ancient source texts of Christianity.

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Admission for students with a Dutch university Bachelor\'s diploma
In order to get admission to this Master\'s you will need a completed Bachelors degree in Theology or a related discipline.
Admission requirements for international students
- A TOEFL score of >=550 (paper based) or >=213 (computer based) or >=80 (internet based)
- An IELTS score of >=6.0
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with a mark of C or higher
For those who dont meet the requirements
If you do not meet these admission requirements, it may be possible to take the one-year pre-Masters programme in Theology (only in Dutch) and enrol in the programme a year later.
