You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.7 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of 2.7 or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Apply and be accepted into MEDPREP for the summer semester. This includes completing admissions paperwork to SIUC (the admissions office will provide instructions upon acceptance into MEDPREP). Please do not apply to the graduate school at this time.
  • You must have completed a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in a life-science discipline.
  • Discuss the feasibility of doing the M.S. and MEDPREP with your MEDPREP advisor. You need to have a solid overall (minimum 3.0) and BCPM (minimum 2.8) GPA and a good background of courses in the biological sciences as well as a course in biochemistry.
  • Once you get approval from your MEDPREP advisor, apply to the Graduate School.\xc2\xa0
