Academic Requirements

Permanent residents of English-Speaking countries such as Canada, United States, and Great Britian are not required to show proof of English Proficiency. NOTE Otherwise, the University requires that competence in English be proven by one of the standardized tests such as TOEFL (minimum acceptable score - 600), Michigan or British Council Exam. *NOTE: Written TOEFL/TWE exam (minimum acceptable score - 4) or equivalent exam is also required. *NOTE: ALL RESULTS OF STANDARDIZED TESTS must be included before your preliminary application assessment will be considered. Results from other sources such as local English language programs will not be accepted. Students from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Liberia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Uganda may be exempted from the requirement to provide evidence of English language competence. Students may be required to take supplementary English courses if admitted to the School of Graduate Studies.
