Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Applicants should have a Bachelor degree from Sultan Qaboos University or from any other recognized university in Security Studies, International Relations or a relative subjects.
- A Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.5 out of 4 or its equivalent in another system and the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies will make the assessment for equivalency acceptance.
- Applicants must have work experience for not less than two years.
- Applicant must submit a no objection letter\xc2\xa0from employer, addressed to the dean of postgraduate studies at SQU. For un-employee Omani applicants need to submit a statement from The Public Authority of Manpower Register documenting the unemployment status of the applicant. \xc2\xa0
