Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the Master of Science program "Biophysics" the following qualifications are needed:

  • Bachelor degree

Proof of a Bachelor degree with above average examination grades (better than 2,5 in German grades) in either Physics, Econophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Biology or Biotechnology or any other study program with essentially the same content at any institute of higher education in Germany or abroad - or any degree recognized as equivalent.

  • Letter of motivation

A personal letter of maximum 2 pages in which the applicants state the following:

  • motivation of their interest in the master program "Biophysics",
  • reasons for choosing Ulm University,
  • expectations for their personal and professional future.
  • Strong academic records

Transcript of records for all the courses taken during the Bachelor\'s program and any other documents providing valuable information on the applicant\'s eligibility for the program.

Proof of above average examination results can be a bachelor degree with an average grade of 2.5 or better, or where this has not yet been established an average of 2.5 or better of all examination results obtained by the date of application (the volume thereof must be equivalent to 140 or more ECTS).

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
