Academic Requirements

To apply for the Master\'s programme in Comparative Public Policy and Welfare Studies you need a relevant Bachelor\'s degree. You can apply if you hold one of the following degrees:

  • Bachelor in Political Science or another bachelor within the faculty of Social Sciences
  • Bachelor in History
  • Bachelor in Area Studies
  • Bachelor in International Negotiation - Economics, language and culture

Bachelor within Humanities if you have acquired at least 45 ECTS within the areas of:

  • Comparative politics
  • International relations
  • Welfare studies

If your Bachelor\'s degree does not meet these requirements, you can still apply if you have gained professional experience of relevance to the programme. Relevant professional experience entails that you:

  • have had experience with social work with disadvantaged groups
  • have had experience with management of welfare programs
  • in other ways through your professional employment have acquired knowledge and qualifications that will contribute to the progression of the Master\'s programme.

If your degree does not fulfill the entry requirements, the study board will decide whether you can follow one or more supplementary courses.
