Course Structure

  1. Founded on the research and teaching strengths of the academic team in the School of Surveying, this MSc course focuses primarily on the core competencies of the building surveyor and the professional builder at the local, regional and national levels.
  2. In particular it draws on the strength of project work, which is a particular speciality of the School, and the developing sustainability agenda with which construction professionals must increasingly engage.
  3. The curriculum focuses on United Kingdom practice requirements but also contains European and global perspectives appropriate to the requirements of international consultancies.
  4. The course is accredited the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  5. You will have the opportunity to participate in a week-long field trip to a European capital.

  • Applicants should normally have a 2:1 or first-class degree. This can be in any discipline, although a related subject is an advantage.
  • Some experience of working in the industry would also be useful.

All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirement, which is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no element below 5.5.\xc2\xa0
