Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Suitability for admission to the program will be based on an examination of the entire application package. In addition to the general requirements of the university, specific requirements for admission to classified graduate status are:
- Bachelor\'s Degree: A bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an accredited college or university, with required minimum GPA of 3.0 calculated using the entire degree or the last 90 quarter (60 semester) units, which may include post baccalaureate work;
- Personal Statement: Academic motivation and personal qualifications demonstrated through submission of a 200-250 word statement of reasons for wishing to pursue the MBA at California State University, San Bernardino,and personal qualifications that will contribute to successful completion of the program;
- Resume: Submission of a current resume;
- Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation are optional, but can enhance an application. There is no official format;
- Business Aptitude Requirement (Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE): Applicants for MBA and Professionals Option must meet the Business Aptitude Requirement or its waiver conditions (does not apply to Executives Option):
1. (GPA x 200) + GMAT score greater than or equal to 1,050 points;
or
2. (GPA x 24) + GRE score greater than or equal to 368 points.
- Business Aptitude Requirement may be waived with one or both of the following:
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
