The Solo Piano Performance at Liszt Academy of Music is a Postgraduate Certificate programme in Arts & Design over 12 months, delivered On-campus. This programme equips graduates with advanced knowledge and practical skills for professional and academic careers in the field.

Academic Requirements
Eligibility:
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0completed MA studies or equivalent university degree in the field of classical piano, highest grade for diploma concert
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0superior artistic and performance skills
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0superior technique
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0superior concentration skills
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0fully dedicated personality
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0Two Beethoven piano sonatas
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0Two significant, >15-minute romantic solo piano pieces. One piece must be a Liszt composition
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0Four virtuoso etudes of\xc2\xa0 either Chopin, or Liszt or a 20th century composer
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0Two significant, >10-minute 20th century piano works. One piece must be a Bart\xc3\xb3k composition
-\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 Five piano concertos, from memory (The jury may ask the candidate to perform any part of a piece; to be performed without orchestra / piano accompaniment). Bach and Mozart concertos are not accepted. One Beethoven concerto may be included, the rest of the concertos ought to be romantic, 19th century and 20th century pieces.
The candidate should send the audition programme together with the application documents. At the beginning of the audition, the panel may choose any of the pieces from the previously provided programme, and may stop the performance at any time, as well.
The\xc2\xa0entrance examination\xc2\xa0is held: end of June or beginning of July. Exact date is announced until May.
