Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. However, the Faculty Board may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
- Applicants with an undergraduate degree only, must demonstrate a GPA equivalent of at least 5.25.
- Applicants must normally demonstrate competence in the area they wish to pursue research, (eg their major) through achieving the equivalent of 18 units of DN or better in that area. Applicants who hold a coursework Masters degree in addition to their undergraduate degree, must demonstrate a GPA equivalent of at least 5.25 in their coursework Masters degree.
- Students whose first degree was not taught in the English language are required to demonstrate proficiency in English (IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each section, TOEFL of 580 with 50 in each section).
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
