Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Admission to the Master\'s of Education in CTE program is contingent upon admission to the Wayne State University\'s Graduate School and the College of Education. Information regarding both of these processes is detailed at the end of this page. To be considered for the Master of Education program in Career and Technical Education applicants must present evidence of:
An undergraduate degree
A major or equivalent coursework in some Career and Technical Education occupational area, and
An overall honor point average of 2.75 or higher.
Exceptions to the above can only be made by a CTE Graduate advisor.
Regular Admission
To be considered for graduate admission, an applicant must hold or be completing an earned baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a college or university of recognized standing and have adequate preparation with discernible ability to pursue graduate studies in the major field elected. These criteria are subject to standards set by the individual colleges and schools, which reserve the right to revise or amend their entrance requirements beyond the minimal requirements of the University.
Applicants not previously enrolled at Wayne State University Graduate School are required to submit an "Application for Graduate Admission" form and official transcripts from each college or university attended to the University Admissions Office. A transcript is considered official only it it is sent directly from the institution where the work was completed and bears an official seal. If the applicant\'s bachelor degree is from WSU, attaching a current, unofficial transcript may expedite the processing.
