Program Overview
The Certificate in ICT Foundation Studies is a programme that delivers the necessary foundational material that brings you to the academic level required to follow one of the Faculty's undergraduate programmes. Since the demand for ICT graduates has been steadily increasing, this MQF Level 4 programme improves accessibility to the degree programmes for students who do not immediately qualify for entry at MQF Level 6. The programme is designed to offer you a good balance between mathematical, programming and science content, together with English language proficiency. As a graduate, the certificate will enable you to access a B.Sc. (Hons.) and B.Sc. IT (Hons.) programme offered at the Faculty of ICT, University of Malta. Admission Requirements
General Entry Requirements Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications Special Course Requirements Admission to this course is open to applicants aged not less than 18 years within three calendar months from the date of commencement of the course and be in possession of: Either a minimum of 36 points in examinations taken as part of the Matriculation Certificate and passes in the Secondary Education Certificate Examination at Grade 5 or better in English Language, Maltese and Mathematics or be in possession of a diploma in an ICT domain which the Board deems as appropriate, classified at MQF Level 4, as well as passes in the Secondary Education Certificate Examination at Grade 5 or better in English Language, Maltese and Mathematics. Applicants may be required to attend for an interview to assess whether they have the necessary aptitude to follow the course with profit.
