Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.7 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Students must have two letters of reference, a well-written personal statement (of at least one full typed page), and a minimum GPA of 2.7 in order to be accepted into the ChE ME program (this corresponds to "first class with distinction" where applicable). We encourage prospective students to submit their GRE scores (verbal: 400 or above, quantitative: 700 or above).GRE is particular useful for foreign students when the GPA equivalency is uncertain.
For admission to the program, students must have a baccalaureate degree.Applications for admission are done online through the CCNY Graduate Admissions Office.English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
