Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Upper Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

The normal minimum entry criteria is a 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in a relevant subject such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Child Health and Wellbeing, Health and Social Care, Psychology, Sociology or Education.

If you accept a formal offer from Edge Hill University you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure indicating that you meet the mandatory criteria of \xc2\x91Clearance to Work with Children and/or Vulnerable Adults\xc2\x92. Further information will be sent to you after you have firmly accepted an offer.
