Academic Requirements
Candidates are expected to have either a good first degree (a strong second class degree or above) in a relevant subject area (normally English Literature), or a teaching qualification with further relevant study (such as a Diploma in a Language area), or appropriate qualifications and experience in related areas, such as publishing, librarianship, freelance research etc. Candidates who wish to enrol as associate students are expected to satisfy tutors that they are capable of working at the required level. Candidates whose first language is not English are expected to provide evidence of achieving level 6.5 in all bands of IELTS or equivalent.
