Who can participate?

The Master’s Degree in Chronicity is aimed at health professionals from different disciplines:

1. Doctors who need a higher education in the field of chronic diseases and/or need to acquire more knowledge in research methodology.

2. Nurses who need more training in the field of chronic diseases and/or need to acquire more knowledge in research methodology. The Master’s Degree will provide them with the ECTS to access a PhD from a General Degree as established in the new RD 99/2011 of 28 January, as they will obtain the 300 ECTS required. In the case of not having enough ECTS, the ESCS will establish agreements with universities to provide additional training in order to facilitate this access.

3. Psychologists who need more training in the field of chronic diseases and/or need to acquire more knowledge in research methodology.

4. Social workers, who need more training in the field of chronic diseases and / or need to acquire more knowledge in research methodology. The Master’s Degree will provide them with the ECTS to access a PhD from a General Degree as established in the new RD 99/2011 of 28 January, as they will obtain the 300 ECTS required.

5. Physiotherapists who need higher education in the field of chronic diseases and/or need to acquire more knowledge in research methodology. 6. Pharmacists and pharmacologists

Moreover, to professionals who can develop a specialized work in public or private institutions and companies, offer assessment services, care and develop care plans and specific adapted intervention to the needs of companies, designing, organizing and managing care units for people with chronic diseases and/or dependants, and with capacity for innovation and generation of scientific and technological knowledge.
