- Have previously completed 400- and 500-level courses worth 60 points in an approved area, or have an approved postgraduate qualification
- Have previously completed at least two years of professional experience in language education or other work involving applied linguistics
- Complete\xa0Thesis\xa0(ALIN 591)
- Have previously completed a DipTESOL (or equivalent) or a Bachelor of Arts with Honours within a relevant subject and with a B range average
- Have previously completed at least two years of professional experience in language education or other work involving applied linguistics
- Complete\xa0Evaluating Research in Applied Linguistics\xa0(LALS 540)\xa0and\xa0The Research Process\xa0(LALS 541)
- Complete further courses worth 90 points from\xa0LALS 510-584
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- A Bachelor\'s degree with Honours with a B range average
- To have met the prerequisites for the subject you wish to study (see subject section below)
- To be accepted by the head of the school as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study
- IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0
- TOEFL: minimum score of 90 for the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing
- Pearson Test of English: minimum score of 65 (with a \xc2\x91Communicative\xc2\x92 score of not less than 58)
- EPP: minimum final scores of 4,4,5,5
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
