Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3.5

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Eligibility Requirements
  • Be a Registered Dietitian or have an original signed verification statement signifying completion of an accredited dietetic internship program or a letter from your dietetic internship director stating that you are in good standing in the program with the intent to complete the dietetic internship prior to matriculation at OHSU
  • Graduate Records Examination (GRE) is required for all graduate programs at OHSU. Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical Writing GRE scores of 153 (500 old scale), 148 (600 old scale) and 4.5 or above, respectively, will generally be considered acceptable for admission. Applicants with scores below those levels may still be considered dependent upon other application strengths; however those will require special review by the admissions committee. The institutional code for OHSU is 4865. The GRE requirement is waived for students who are currently enrolled in or graduated from, within the past three years, the Graduate Programs in Human Nutrition Dietetic Internship program with a GPA of 3.5 or above
  • A cumulative grade-point average of all undergraduate courses of at least 3.0 (based on a letter grade system of A-4 points, B-3 points, C-2 points, D-1 point, F-0 points), or its equivalent in other grading systems
  • GPHN does NOT offer conditional acceptance
